On December 3, 2019, a CCHSS audit was conducted at St. Michael’s Long Term Care Centre. The audit identified multiple areas of non-compliance, including deficiencies in emergency preparedness (Sub-Standard 16.6), water supply system and temperature checks (Sub-Standards 15.2 and 15.1), medication management (Sub-Standard 12.1), infection prevention and control (IPC) policies (Sub-Standard 11.1), managed risk agreements (Sub-Standard 10.1), staff training (Sub-Standards 9.3 and 6.3), and the review and documentation of client care plans (Sub-Standards 1.8, 1.4, and 1.2).

🔍  March 2019

On March 20, 2019, inspections were conducted under both the RFCA and Accommodation Standard at St. Michael’s Long Term Care Centre. The RFCA inspection found the facility to be compliant with all relevant standards. However, the Accommodation Standard inspection identified non-compliance in the quality and quantity of food, communication of menu/times (Sub-Standard 13.1), and communication of processes (Sub-Standard 30.3).
