The audit revealed multiple areas of non-compliance, including issues with policies and procedures for water supply system and temperature checks (Sub-Standard 15.2), access to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) equipment for staff (Sub-Standard 11.3), and documentation related to palliative and end-of-life care (Sub-Standard 5.3).

Additional non-compliance areas included deficiencies in documenting medical status assessments (Sub-Standard 1.4), restraint use (Sub-Standards 16.1, 16.2, and 16.3), and medication management (Sub-Standard 12.1). The audit also highlighted failures in documented compliance to staff training (Sub-Standards 9.2, 9.3, and 9.4) and the maintenance of equipment owned by the operator (Sub-Standard 6.3).

Furthermore, issues were noted with the review of the client’s care plan (Sub-Standard 1.8) and ensuring that the care plan addressed the client’s needs, goals, and intervention details (Sub-Standard 1.3).

On August 31, 2022, a Quality Monitoring Visit under Public Health was conducted at CapitalCare Dickinsfield. The facility was found to be compliant with all relevant public health standards during this visit.

🔍  September 2021

In September 2021, CapitalCare Dickinsfield underwent multiple inspections. On September 24 and September 14, 2021, CMOH inspections under Public Health were conducted, and the facility was found to be compliant on both occasions. However, during Accommodation Standard inspections on the same dates (September 24, September 14, and September 8, 2021), the facility was found to be non-compliant in maintaining the accommodation (Sub-Standard 3.1) and ensuring that it was in a safe condition (Sub-Standard 2.1).

On September 8, 2021, a CMOH inspection under Public Health identified non-compliance at CapitalCare Dickinsfield in areas related to the use of personal protective equipment (Sub-Standard 1.2) and the entry screening process (Sub-Standard 1.1).

On February 9, 2021, a CCHSS audit at CapitalCare Dickinsfield revealed multiple areas of non-compliance. These included issues with the documentation and review of restraint use (Sub-Standards 16.1, 16.2, and 16.3), medication management policies (Sub-Standard 12.1), infection prevention and control procedures (Sub-Standard 11.1), and staff training compliance (Sub-Standards 9.2, 9.3, and 9.4). Issues were also noted in the reporting of reportable incidents (Sub-Standard 19.4) and the documentation of secure space usage (Sub-Standards 16.5 and 16.6).

🔍  January 2021

On January 26, 2021, a CMOH inspection under Public Health was conducted at CapitalCare Dickinsfield, and the facility was found to be compliant.

However, earlier in the month, on January 8, 2021, another CMOH inspection found the facility to be non-compliant in the areas of shared spaces (Sub-Standard 1.4), personal protective equipment (Sub-Standard 1.2), and enhanced cleaning (Sub-Standard 1.5).

Additionally, on January 7, 2021, a CCHSS audit revealed non-compliance in multiple areas, including managed risk agreements (Sub-Standard 10.1), reporting reportable incidents (Sub-Standard 19.4), documentation and review of secure space usage (Sub-Standards 16.5 and 16.6), and policies regarding restraint use (Sub-Standards 16.1, 16.2, and 16.3). Further non-compliance was found in medication management policies (Sub-Standards 12.1 and 12.4), infection prevention and control procedures (Sub-Standard 11.1), staff training compliance (Sub-Standards 9.2, 9.3, and 9.4), and the maintenance of equipment (Sub-Standard 6.3). The audit also noted deficiencies in reviewing and updating the client’s care plan (Sub-Standards 1.8, 1.3, and 1.2).
